Mardy Juniors Take Centre Stage

With Mardy's senior teams on Food Festival parking duty, the spotlight fell on a busy weekend for the Club's junior section with three teams in action. 

The Under 11 boys were involved in a local derby against Abergavenny Rhinos whilst the Under 12's, looking resplendent in new kit sponsored by construction company ValCon, faced Caldicot Town.

The Club were also able to celebrate the first appearance of a team representing their new girls section with the Under 11 team enjoying a successful first game hosted by Treowen Stars. Club Vice Chair Chris Price said "We have been working towards setting up a girls section for some time and we are absolutely delighted to see them making their debut today and developing our links with the local community".

The Seniors return to action this weekend with the first team entertaining Albion Rovers and the Reserves traveling to face Pontnewynydd.
